To offer bonus commissions to selling brokers?
April 17th, 2007 12:13 AM

A questions I am asked occasionally by my sellers is to offer a bonus commission to the buyers agent.

The market standard is to offer out 3% commission to buyers agents that procure a buyer for a home sale. Sometimes listing agents suggest to offer out bonus commissions such as 3.5% or 4%.

Although this may help some agents to show your home as a priority, the final decision is still always up to the purchaser. You may find an agent to try to sell the benefits of your home more since they are getting a bonus, but the buyers agents first priority should always be to put their clients best interest first.
